LISA AUTON | PRINCIPAL CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Lisa Auton (née Harrison) is a clinical psychologist who is dedicated to creating a safe and open environment in order to work collaboratively with you.  Lisa is warm, friendly and empathic and committed to empowering you to overcome your current difficulties and assist you to live a fulfilling life.  Lisa is experienced in working with adolescents and adults with a range of mental health difficulties.

Lisa has worked across public, private, and university settings.  At St John of God Psychiatric Hospital Burwood, Lisa worked with individuals experiencing substance abuse and dependence in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as women experiencing postnatal depression and anxiety in an inpatient setting (individual and group).  In private practice, Lisa currently works with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including:

·     Major depressive disorder and persistent depressive disorder

·     Generalised anxiety disorder

·     Bipolar disorder I & II

·     Specific phobias

·     Perinatal anxiety and depression

·     Difficulties adjusting to pregnancy and parenthood

·     Emotional dysregulation

·     Self-harm and chronic suicidality 

·     Personality vulnerabilities

Lisa Harrison Clinical Psychologist

Lisa has training and experience using evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.  Lisa's experience means she am able to tailor your treatment to suit your individual needs and specific difficulties.

Lisa is also a board-approved supervisor, registered with AHPRAs Psychology Board, and available to provide supervision for provisional psychologists, clinical psychology registrars, registered psychologists, and clinical psychologists.  Please contact us to discuss supervision with Lisa.

JOSH STEVENSON | PSYCHOLOGIST

Josh is a registered psychologist passionate about helping you live a fulfilling and meaningful life.  Josh understands that people are not defined by their mental health difficulties.  He seeks to make you feel comfortable, help you share your story, and assist you to overcome the barriers that stand in the way of achieving your goals.

Josh has experience working with a range of mental health difficulties, including (but not limited to):

Josh also has extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults and is able to create an engaging space for people in this stage of life while appreciating the unique challenges faced by them.

Josh has training and experience using a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.  Some of these include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). This range of therapeutic modalities means that Josh is able to tailor your treatment to best suit your needs.
