FAQS
HOW LONG DOES AN APPOINTMENT GO FOR AND HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS WILL I NEED?
All appointments will go for 50minutes. It is difficult to say how many appointments you will need. In your initial appointment, we will discuss your needs and what you hope to achieve from therapy and create a treatment plan together.
HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST? ARE THERE ANY REBATES AVAILABLE?
The consultation fee for a Clinical Psychologist is $260 and the consultation fee for a Registered Psychologist is $220. Sessions with Clinical and Registered Psychologists are eligible for Medicare rebates. A Mental Health Care Plan from your GP allows you to claim $141.85 per session with a Clinical Psychologist (for up to 10 sessions per year) and $96.65 per session with a Registered Psychologist. Book an appointment with your GP in order to discuss your suitability for obtaining a Mental Health Care Plan.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
After booking in your initial appointment, we will email you some electronic forms to fill out prior to your first session. If you plan on claiming the Medicare rebate for your session, it is important for you to bring along your MHCP and referral letter from your GP (it is important that this referral letter stipulates how many sessions your GP is referring you for and the symptoms/diagnosis you are currently experiencing).
